We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with College of the Canyons on their Intercultural Center. The ICC was developed to provide safe and brave spaces for historically minoritized and marginalized groups on campus with the goal of increased diversity, equity, and inclusion.
In reimagining the lower level for the College of the Canyons Intercultural Center, we saw an opportunity rather than a constraint. The challenge of activating a basement-like space pushed us to think creatively about bringing light and energy into the environment. Through thoughtful design interventions, we transformed what was once an underutilized area into a vibrant, dynamic space that serves as a catalyst for student engagement and cultural exchange.

It can help develop us into better people, as it increases our understanding of human nature. The importance of diversity itself can benefit us in all aspects of our lives."
