The City of Santa Barbara received a grant to improve Cliff Drive from Rancheria Street to Meigs Road. Improvements to Cliff Drive include a dedicated bicycle path, periodic crosswalks, and new traffic lights at both SBCC West and East campus entries. The project also offers the District the opportunity to improve the East campus entry and to make it function more efficiently and safely. 

The City of Santa Barbara and SBCC staff met several other times regarding the planning efforts that would affect campus traffic. The College is participating and coordinating plans with the City to include alterations to the East and West Campus entrances.
